Standing Guard
Native Americans have served in every war America has fought, never losing sight of their tribal heritage and entity. Many of these warriors have distinquished themselves with valor beyond the call of duty, earning America's highest award, "the Congressional Medal of Honor". It is a message that Native Americans have and will continue at any price, to stand guard for freedom. It is Kelly's tribute to Native veterans who often become invisible soldiers in their own country.

Standing His Ground
When faced with insurmountable odds, the warrior would stake himself to the ground to symbolize his determination to Stand His Ground and fight to the death if need be. Kelly believes that all persons, regardless of age, gender, race, social status and financial position have convictions for which they are willing to defy great odds and to stand their ground. This story told to me by two Comanche elders.
